  1. Property compliance – Safety and security risks across sales, rentals, and strata properties are increasing, and outdated paper or spreadsheet systems can no longer keep up. Under the NSW Property and Stock Agents Regulation 2022, Professional Indemnity policies must cover personal injury in the conduct of an agency business. But without proper risk procedures, coverage can be denied—leaving agencies directly exposed.

  2. Financial crime compliance – On 29 November 2024, Parliament passed the AML/CTF Amendment Bill 2024. From 31 March 2026, Schedule 1, Part 1A of the AML/CTF Act requires businesses to maintain an AML/CTF program appropriate to the nature, size, and complexity of their operations. Tranche 2 entities—including real estate professionals, developers, conveyancers, accountants, and lawyers—must enrol with AUSTRAC and comply fully by 1 July 2026.
