An Adelaide woman who was seriously injured in an alleged stabbing at her workplace last week has thanked the community for its support, while paying tribute to her colleague who died at the scene.

Two women were allegedly stabbed at the real estate business they worked at in the south-western suburb of Plympton last Wednesday.

Henley Beach woman Susan Scardigno, 50, suffered serious injuries in the alleged attack and was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital, while her colleague, Morphett Vale woman Julie Seed, 38, died at the scene.

Ms Scardigno, who SA health authorities said had been discharged from hospital, posted on Facebook this morning writing that she was "OK".

"I just need some time," she wrote.

Ms Scardigno thanked people for their "beautiful messages of love and support".

"It has warmed me reading them," she wrote.

Ms Scardigno, a team leader at REAL Estate Agents Group, said she had "come to learn that people surrounding those in tragic circumstances are the ones that suffer the most".

"Julie's family, particularly her girls and her fiancé Chris, my REAL family, my partner Sean, my own amazing girls, my family and our first responders who literally saved my life, are the ones that need the support right now," she wrote
